If these idiots weren't so greedy they would have never been caught. I bet you if Omar would have stopped at a couple of million instead letting it ride to 65 mil he probably wouldn't be caught. Plus who drives a Ferrari on a 225k salary (maybe 150k after taxes)? The lifestyle he lived based on his income probably gave him away. A local cop was arrested years ago for reselling drugs off of arrested dealers. How did he get caught? Driving a new 911 Turbo on a cop's salary...DUMB!!!!!! Some people lack the self-awareness to realize that people watch you all the time, especially people in power, and if something doesn't add up...well........

Why not stop at 10 million or something like that. $65+ million is a bit excessive. But then again he owes MGM and LVS lots of money. Guys like Omar dream of being Billionaires.Contact Me: admin@frysforum.com [FrysForum Administration Group]

Build a casino, profit, and build a new one. Wynn built a new casino next door called Encore. Wynn Casino pays off itself and a new casino. Two casinos will double his cash flow. Plus at the end of the day casinos win.

You'd think that after he lost the first million he'd spend $29.99 on a "How to play blackjack" book. Plus add that Randy Fry thought there was nothing wrong about giving him TWO personal loans for over 22 times his yearly salary. But this is Fry's upper management we're talking about. :face-monkey:

Fry's Electronics has no shortage of underhandedness, that's why they're a private company. Other similarly sized retailers have all gone public, i.e. Conn's (NYSE: CONN). Omar was a major "investor" with the TAW L/P, and with a $225,000 annual pretax income and no stock options, this is highly suspicious. The two loans made by Randy (at around 4 million apiece) are indicative of a larger scheme, or communal knowledge of the kickbacks he was receiving. The reason Omar went down is because another Fry's executive (somebody not in the good ole boy club and not a millionaire) walked into his office only to find a few strange spreadsheets with million dollar debits outlined in them. This happened all while Omar was probably on one of his gambling extravaganzas. This unnamed executive went to the IRS with these findings, and at that point there was no saving Omar, and of course nobody else admitted knowledge of his backroom dealings. There have been other more minor scandals such as the Enrique "Ebay" Robles ordeal, but he was barely breaking 6 figures. Also, I would hardly call selling clearance on Ebay a crime. There needs to be a full upper level investigation, the TAW L/P does many things that are, well, less than kosher at best. Take a look at the property lease for any Fry's store, the private golf course, the San Jose SaberCats, the New Zealand sheep ranch, and various other resort properties (all complete with store numbers). I'm fairly certain that Omar had permission ,if you will, to extract these kickbacks. It's a great deal cheaper than paying him, and his continuing contributions to the TAW L/P were well received. Somebody has to be the scapegoat though, and who better than somebody who "owes" their successes to Fry's, starting as a lowly computer salesmen and moving all the way to director and superstar gambler. Maybe we'll see a case put forth by Mr. Siddiqui naming John, David, Randy, and Kathy as defendants....

I always knew when I worked for that company that there was something odd and weird about their business practices that even a fool could see. The whole Omar situation confirmed that I was right.

Siddiqui could get away with this. All he as to do is a plea bargain exposing other fraudulent members in the company.
