The problem with each extreme economic system is the common people. With capitalism, I would (people would) take over the world if I (they) could; with communism, I would (people would) do nothing as I (they) have no incentive to do better.
Since both economic systems fail, I favour more the capitalism as it has better incentives and progress... but compromised with some (very minor) regulations that communism would support. -

As for my social views, even more conservative compared to my economic views. While I see the Bible as more of a book of metaphors rather than history (which is why I'm not very religious), there are still important values we must hold true to. -

Suzukiman: yes but the tank man was going against a totalitarianism/monarchy not a communism you never see hippies on a commune treating the farmers as near slaves as possible tooooo many people think communism is bad but the misinterpret it as totalitarianism.
I'd have to agree with this, a lot of people do make this mistake. At the same time, I still hate communism as there is no incentive for progress. -

The majority of contributors to free open source software aren't even paid a dime. For some who do make more than that, it goes directly into their project rather than their pockets because they are that enthusiastic about what they do. With a communistic economy, maybe people could do the job they want without fear of making below subsistence level.

People still buy pets such as dogs, cats, birds, and so on, and know that they're going to have to clean up after them, feed them, and take them to the vet every once in awhile. People still enjoy the company of their pets, at least the ones that buy 'em. This lady has a probe in her right hand, she is probably a vet, zoo keeper, or researcher. I doubt her job description is to only catch elephant poop in a sack. She got to be in the prensence of awesome elephants for probably hours, days, weeks, and all for a small price of catching poop, which she was compensated that time with making at least subsistence level hopefully. If the poop is being used for research or to determine the health of the elephant, she probably feels that this is a small price to contribute to science or to improve the elephant's life.

A friend took a picture of me solving a 4x4x4. I can solve the 3x3x3 and 4x4x4, but I haven't tried any other. Joshua calls me a cheater because I memorized algorithms off the Internet, but whatever. Maybe when Joshua gets back from work, we'll take a picture next to each other or something. We don't really have any picture of us together except when we were babies. We have one of us paintballing, but it's hard to see me because I am hiding in the back and then another where I am wearing a paintball mask.

Sorry for talking about my self, just consider it me introducing myself for a very very long time. Might be a couple more years before I am done. I was trying to learn more about you, already know about Chris, know Sialer, of course I know Joshua (I can hear his thoughts *shifty*). Looked like you guys were having so much fun here that I wanted to join in. ^_^ You should hear Chris in real life, he never stops talking about his awesome cars and computers. Did you know his car has a roll cage? :D He's cool. Sialer, he's always talking about politics and economics. He's starting to get a little into computers, he wants to build a computer and throw Linux on it for his first time. I think he should stick with Windows though since he loves playing games and even though wine is pretty good right now, it just doesn't compare yet and not too many folks make games for Linux. *listens to Joshua's thoughts* Joshua is thinking about chicken and ranch. The person who made the 1,000 x 1,000 x 1,000 video is clearly a fake. No matter what method you use to solve a 4x4x4 Rubik's cube or higher, you need to order the coloring of the center pieces first and group the side pieces so that it can be solved like a 3x3x3. At worst, you'll get some parity errors here and there (things that are not possible on a 3x3x3 - in the picture of me, the corner pieces are reversed and that is not possible on a 3x3x3). That guy doesn't solve any of the center pieces first nor group the side pieces, it just all comes together right at the end, which suggests that he recorded it being mixed up and reversed the video. Compare his video to the other guys and you'll notice that they have to work inside out. They work on the center and work their way out. That 1,000 x 1,000 x 1,000 video, he doesn't do that. To make it all come back into the right spot with everything being wrong until the end doesn't have a pattern, you would have to remember the way you moved it or if they kept doing U' L' over and over (or something similar to that pattern - I forget what it was) which you can do that if the cube is not messed up, which means it's an algorithm you used to destroy it and put it back together, if you do something other than that to really mess up the cube rather than fake it, then it wont work. That guys is a cheater and should be shot. -
