got laid off after a merger which my boss is still kicking himself about. was going to go unemployment till an IT job surfaced and i finished moving for the 3rd time this year but stumbled upon a canvassing job selling doors door to door and so being exercise and more than unemployment i decided to go for it for a couple months it is now an IT consulting job to upgrade their website and infrustructure for about double what I was making at the last job and I now have tons more work on my plate as you can see no punctuation whatsoever. <---- Doh!!!Looking for my head ............... yeah the eight valve one yeah ....

Suzukiman: its actually fun considering its hourly i get to piss a bunch of people off and make them act nice while being pissed i make sure to knock every no soliciting and no peddler doors just because it will annoy them but i am rebuilding their website at the same time and will be moving to their headquarters in a few months.
Got a lot of respect for door to door sales people, though I do ENTIRELY feel sorry for the neighborhood when both salespeople are going door to door along with Jehovah's Witnesses. I felt so bad to knock on people's doors.
And the whole knocking while the sign says "no soliciting" thing. I would be careful about that. Since you are selling product and/or services, which is considered soliciting, the police can remove you from the area if someone in the neighborhood complains. Trust me on this. People have tried calling the police on us, JWs.Why is there an S in Lisp? -

We do not solicit. Everything we do is based upon volunteer work. The literature and what not is of no cost to you. So by law, we are not soliciting and the police in the USA pretty much support us if someone in the neighborhood makes a call. In fact, the entire worldwide organization is a non-profit organization run purely on voluntary donations. We even set aside our own time and schedule to come at your door, to build Kingdom Halls (our place of worship AKA Church), cleaning projects, and disaster relief.

Jehovah is the English way of saying Yahweh (Hebrew), separate from Jesus Christ. Others will say that Jesus and Jehovah are part of a Triune God AKA Trinity, however, I do not believe in such doctrine. I don't think it makes any sense.
The whole book thing? If I understand your question right, the term book is just used for organizational purposes. Book, Chapter, and Verse. Also at one time, the books were seperate such as Genesis, Revelation, Matthew, etc. The Bible as we see it today was at one time cut up into 66 books.Why is there an S in Lisp? -

This is because of the harmony of the Bible and the prophecies within. For example, the Book of Isaiah describes in Chapter 44 and 45 the destruction of Ancient Babylon and how it would be destroyed (Euphrates drying up and falling in a single night, etc.). It even mentions Cyrus as the person who led the Persian armies. All 200 years before it happened.
Now, am I supposed to blindly agree and disagree to what science says? Not really. For example, many Creationists truly believe that the Earth was created in 6, 24 hour days, which is entirely impossible. A day in the Bible can sometimes mean a length of time, such as a 1000 years. Even the Bible goes hand in hand with science describing the Water Cycle in full detail, how the Earth is round and is suspended upon nothing in space, and even avoiding certain types of diseases.
Now careful, Evolution has never been proven as a Fact, hence why it is called a Theory. Scientists have yet to find any missing links.Why is there an S in Lisp? -

I know I asked a Jehovas Witness how they explained the ghostly phenomenon I've encountered or seen, and they gave me this very explanation. Which would make sense except I don't believe in heaven, hell, or demons. But at least you acknowledge they can plausibly exist.Superhero! -

heck I'll be a prophet and say "I see much turmoil and fighting in the near future" i could probably go even more specific and say "there will be several wars over dying resources" now once those wars actually happen my prophecy comes true the likeliness of these things not happening is rather slim. heck we will all still be alive when these happen i bet. so unless these books come out with a specific date and time or specific names of people and what they will be doing i am going to say it is just as sane to follow the matrix as if it was a bible granted it would be a plastic dvd but paper was the latest and greatest back then so really whats the difference? both were well written stories that made sense heck the matrix doesnt take much imagination to believe its real either. in the matrix "god" would be a big huge computer. Heck in another 2000 years when the world looks like the matrix someone will find a copy of the movie and play it and it will become the dead sea plastic disk of Matr because the ix was scraped off. and everyone will be waiting for the return of neo to save them.Looking for my head ............... yeah the eight valve one yeah ....

Evolution is a fact simply because it has been observed and it happens. Now that being said, this is the part that most people use incorrectly, there are theories on "how" evolution works, but the "fact" that it happens is still the same.
for example lets use gravity, it's still not proven "how" it works, but there really isn't much to deny it does, so gravity is a fact, with theories on how it works.
There is so much evidence of evolution happening that it is a fact that it happens. Now there are many theories on how it happens, all the mechanical and chemical workings of it are not figured out yet.Looking for my head ............... yeah the eight valve one yeah .... -

In a nutshell, Babylon was known to not give up slaves of people who are part of conquered nations. Israel for example, was completely destroyed and all of its people were killed or taken captive. Why? Because Israel turned to idol worship. In any case, it was completely unheard of for a nation to actually come back out of slavery and into rebuild itself. And that is exactly what Israel did. Hence the whole, "One saying of Jerusalem, 'She will be inhabited... They will be rebuilt, and her desolate places I shall raise up." Now how? Well Babylon had to be destroyed. During the reign of Belshazzar, in one night, the Medo-Persian armies under the command of King Cyrus, dried up the Euphrates River and conquered Babylon in a single night (everyone was drunk in the city from partying). Hence the "Be evaporated; and all your rivers I shall dry up." There is more to it too if you want. Jeremiah described exactly as to when the Israelites were to be freed ( 70 years to be exact ).

I should have been more exact. Evolution is change over time. The growth of a child to an adult can be considered evolution. However, a new species branching off another species has never been observed. That is where Creation and Evolution goes head to head. Mutations of DNA and what not still continue on, however the general traits of that species remain the same. Look at the human race. We have a variety of differing colors of people of various sizes, and yet we are all part of the same species.Why is there an S in Lisp? -

We kinda agree on something though. JW's do not believe in hell either... as a place of torment. If you die for your sins, what more punishment do you really deserve?

You are quite correct. Be wary of anyone that does "date setting", and this is coming from a Jehovah's Witness (bet you didn't expect that one, hehe). We are generally kept up to date about what is going on within the organization and information given and to be completely 100% honest, this whole 2012 thing is news to me (never read it or heard of it before). Not only in Revelation, but also in the entire Bible, no where is it stated that the end will come "at this date". In fact, at Matthew 24:36, Jesus stated, "Concerning that day and hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but only the Father." So no one knows when except God. All we know is the events that happen before, most of which is mentioned in Matthew 24 and 1 Timothy 3.
None of the assumed dates of the End of the World has ever been endorsed by the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of Jehovah's Witnesses.Why is there an S in Lisp? -

2012 came from the Mayan calendars, not the bible. The JWs I spoke to told me the 'events' that led up to it and tried to relate them to what is happening now, saying, it's coming soon, but the events were very vague and have been around since humans existed, like wars, the tsunami from a while back, 9-11, so on. We've always had these disasters, half the time the world just didn't know about it because communication has never been so good.Superhero!

That's actually incorrect. Last time I checked, no one has directly observed a fish turning into a bird, amphibian or reptile. Evolution, on it's best day, is still a theory, and on any other day, is a hypothesis. Those that promote evolution as "fact" deny or ignore its inherent flaws and inconsistencies. Believing in evolution requires faith, just as Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, and Christians believe requires faith - faith in something that you have not directly seen.

Nope. Mormons believe the Jesus was the spirit-brother of Lucifer (Satan). Oneness Pentacostals teach that Jesus is both God the Father and God the Holy Spirit (often referred to as modalism). Jehovah's Witnesses teach that Jesus is the first of God's creation, and not God incarnate. They teach that Jesus is the Archangel, Michael (not evidenced in the Hebrew or Christian Testaments). The historic Christian faith has taught that there is one God, one in essence, and eternally existing in three Persons - God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (i.e. Triune God).

but it has been observed in experiments with things that multiply fast there was a string of bacteria that actually developed a way to use a new substance as food in one petri dish while all the others still couldn't and as a result those that did overtook the ones that couldn't in their test environment that mutation IS evolution. now to get to a fish or bird pile on alot more mutations over millions of years and then yes you will have "fish" in those petri dishes wait another 10+ million years and it may grow legs and walk out of its dish it may even mutate to eat table varnish and use that as fuel. As I had said evolution of one species into another is a fact. The how and why evolution happens, that is the mechanics of what triggered this to suddenly grow gills or feathers or other things, is still theory. If you delve deep into a cell you will find it is more like a car driven by an overclocked muscled out punch card computer than a living thing. Cells have many mechanical microscopic machines running inside of them. If you understand anything about genetics, mutation isn't evolution. Mutuations happen constantly, and most often are neutral, and are usually caused by outside forces (radiation, chemical exposure, etc.).

The best definition/description that I've read is that scientists assert that the earth developed through purely natural processes following a great cosmic explosion called the big-bang. They believe that living microbes simply developed following a series of random reactions within a spontaneous aggregate of molecules. Mathmatically, that is impossible to occur.

It can also mean a gradual change in the characteristics of a population of animals or plants over successive generations.
