Been thinking about it. Relatively new, so wondering what they provide. Anyone know the theme?

Memphis is not a store, it is a warehouse distribution center. There is no theme. You will be working a lot of hours pulling orders in a warehouse for the products that were purchased on Fry's.com

A-team is a huge amount of work, but you get paid fairly well. I know a few people that have gone, they say it's alright.

Except that memphis is strictly a Frys.com distribution center. Fry's used to lease out the building in Ohio from DHL, but since DHL is out of business their lease is up and they have to move out of the building. They picked a location on the East coast to be closer to the georgia stores, and I'm assuming to facilitate the opening of some east coast stores.

    If you're going there for A-team it'll be just for setting up equipment for the distro center.FrysSucks.com - FrysSucks.com - FrysSucks.com -

Actually it won't be setting up equipment. They have already set up all the equipment and are up an running right now. Memphis had their grand opening over the 4th of july weekend. The problem is, Fry's is not in the warehouse business, so when they brought all the product over from the DHL warehouse , they assumed they knew what they were doing, but ended up being wrong. So know, all the product is in the wrong place, which makes it difficult to find when an order is being placed. Right now, the A team is in place to find the product and ship it out, while at the same time trying to get all the product in the right places. The management team is in place now to get on the right track, they are just making up for the mis steps they had at the beginning of the venture.

Are you saying I'm not allowed to exercise indifference? Mild appreciation? Must I truly give my self wholly to the dark side, or to the light? HOW CAN YOU PUT THAT ON ME. IT'S NOT FAIR. SHAME ON YOU, GUEST.

This is common knowledge. All Fry's associates know this. Did you not get the memo? Check the break room.

Hello guest, how are you? I can see you have a poor sense of reading comprehension and can't be bothered to find out the proper information by reading my previous threads.

I know a lot about Memphis because I got the email about Memphis A-team a number of weeks back and asked my DDM about it. He explained what it was about and the reason for the move.
I am not hispanic, I'm quite caucasian with some german thrown in.
I am not longer a manager at Fry's. After 6 years, they fired me mainly for being a poor manager. Please see my previous threads.
I worked in the Service Department
I did not work at Burbank, although I was supposed to transfer there a few weeks prior when their Service DM got 5-day suspension.
About being anti-Fry's: Again, look at my previous posts. I have never once stated that Fry's was stupid, that the employees were dumb, or that I hated Fry's or anyone there. I am not mad at Fry's or think that me being fired was not the right call. But when you've been with Fry's for so many years, and you get to know the ins and outs of the company as much as I did, then you can see how amateurish the company is at times. They rake in so much money but the home office is so foolish in many respects and there is so much waste that goes on, so much double work and bureaucracy and knee-jerk reactions and decisions that makes absolutely no sense. There is a culture within Fry's of apathy and lack of customer service that wears everyone down sometimes, and it shows.

Being critical of a company is not a bad thing. Fry's as a company needs to grow a lot more in their operations and service if they are ever to have a successful IPO, which I believe is their ultimate goal in the near future. They need to stop building new store for the time being (which they have) an start fixing their existing stores, upgrading their operations, implementing some basic retail experiences for their customers (which they are) and spend some of those millions that their stores pull in every week.

There are many dedicated Fry's employees that work there, myself included. I know every one of my DMs and their Sups, while they had their gripes, would always want to do better for the company. Fry's pays well and gives lots of opportunities for advancements. I consider it lucky that someone like me with a high school education and lots of hard work can be making close to 50k a year within 3 years time. Considering that other DMs make more than me, find me another retailer where as a middle manager you can be making 60k+ with just a high school education.

    So to summarize:
Please know what you're talking about first.
Fry's has lots of problems, but that doesn't mean that they are a bad company.
My website is about showing those problems to the company and hopefully letting them respond.

Also, here's a picture of me because I'm a narcissist:

Also guest you spelled Milam's name wrong. Talk about disappointing him. Good thing you are only a guest. I would hate to think who you would mistake me for. Plus I think our old software manager is still in Arizona. He did start a thread saying he might be the new store manager for burbank but then got freaked out when he found out that managers do look at this site and home office. He tried to delete the thread but couldn't so he just edited his topic at just a dot.
