I quit in 2007 Nov from Fry's Electronics Inc in Houston,TX but, recently I applied for a job as Merchandising Associate. Is there a way to contact Home office and narrate my desperate need for a job. I quit basically because, I needed to concentrate on school but, now I need money so, please somebody help me out. I do know my old manager so, give your suggestion how to proceed. It's already 2 weeks since I put my application.
I hope to hear you suggestions and guidance guys.

IMHO, coming across as "desperate" is a sure fire way NOT to get hired. Consider other retail jobs other than Fry's. There are plenty out there, especially here in Houston.

I know at my store they will not rehire, not sure think it might be a company policy.

It is a company policy...a quote from i will use 'GUEST" name..." You know, once you do your VQ Fry's doesn't accept any associate to rehire if they want...But ironically they will hire the top guns...Bunch of Idiots in my book... -

It's policy as of now; not entirely sure why.
The policy applies to everybody at my store. I have seen a few top guns and frys card machines come back but they still have not been rehired. -

i've heard generally they don't rehire. i know you can write a letter to home office but i guess like 99% of the time they deny you. but i've seen people come back so it's worth a shot..Collateral Damage
