    Just came back from Frys in Burbank and my friend noticed on the receipt that they charged $25.00 for Recycle fee for that 32" HD LCD that was on sale.  
    If you look on your receipt it even says $25.00 Recycle fee for TVs over 35". They can't really argue with you, cuz it the TV is 32"  
    It should be $16.00. You can get back $9.00.

    I had the same problem when I purchased a 10.1 inch HP notebook at BestBuy. I was charged $16.00 and its was for screens 14 inches and more. I returned the unit without opening it and got a full refund. I then purchased the same netbook on Amazon for $30 less and with no CA recycling fee or CA tax.

    They are focused on HIV "milk" day when the budget stinks and reform should happen? Good job for the f you veto I dont want to pay more money for "gay day" I want reform of the way bloated policies in place. If sgaysisco does not like it move to japan where they accept people like you!

    Yeah but you guys have a huge job deficit and outrageous recycling taxes. How can your government do that to you? Here we at least have jobs... so a tax like that wouldnt kill us.Superhero!

    it has less crime than oakland but I try to do my best and stay away from it. It reeks of homeless, trash, spray paint, more drugs than humbolt county. Their politicians are corrupt, bad, and soooo far left they make Lennon and Marx look like Bush sympathizers.Looking for my head ............... yeah the eight valve one yeah ....

    I can remember years ago seeing that Fry's did the exact opposite: For a while Macbooks didn't add *any* recycling fee for some reason.  
     
    Ideally the recylcing fee would reflect the amount of lead and other hazardous waste in the display so as to encourage people to buy more ecofriendly displays, but that has never been the case. Furthermore, based on the retail stores inability to figure the simple fee matrix somehow I don't think anything more complicated would work.  
     
    For a 15-35" monitor the fees have doubled to $16, which really makes me wonder about buying another monitor in the US.
