Store 25 here. I'm pretty sure this is Fry's way of encouraging employees to work off the clock as that's what most of the employees seem to be doing.

Guest: I'm surprised none of you who still work at Fry's and are concerned about these changes have not contacted any of the stores already on the program. Most stores have only lost one or two people due to the change because they couldn't cut it as salespeople. The rest of the group for the most part is actually making MORE money. You would go down the aisles because EVERY accessory now pays you based on its GP. That means you can sell the $5 cable instead of the $20 cable and still get paid if the GP% is high enough. Seems to me like this is better for the sales people AND the customers. Should get people to stop hawking the laptop and big screen tables and actually try to help customers...

$200 slingshots pay 1.50, $150 keyboard pays 0.00, Backup powersupply/surge protectors $60 - 100 pay 0.00, some items pay a whole .80c. Whatever GP system is being used is complete and total bullshit. I don't believe for one second that there is no profit in any of these $100 items. How much is corporate packing on to the price on the back end?? One VP committed millions in fraud, who's doing it now? I don't know but they're doing it on the salesman's backs IMHO. I have been taking extra time in my day to look up every potential accessory item that I could sell and they all pay crap. It's all lies. The big ticket items are still the only way to make a buck, about 5 laptops and 10 desktops are reasonably profitable.

And I'll bitch as much as I wan't, because that's what makes the internet great... and porn ofcourse. :face-devil-grin:

Exactly what I anticipated. I'm glad I never transferred to either department.
