on jan 2 2010 my wife and i purchased a samsung lnb46b650 openining a fryes card no interest good price. on exiting the store the greeter opened the box and checked to see if the tv worked.in the meantime i went to get the to get the pickup.my wife told me he just lifted the carton enough to plug the tv in and check to see if it had power.. he had a hard time getting the carton back in position .when we arrived home i lifted the carton off the base and the tv flopped down hitting a chair.after set up and power up the screen looked like 2 golf balls hit .no external damage.vertical lines.the base styerfoam was broken .had this not been broke the tv would not have fell down.we took the tv back to frys that night and and the said they can't do anything.we called samsung repair and the tech said there's nothing they can do.i'm stuck with a tv thats worthless and 1200 bucks out.:face-crying::face-sad:

FWIW, they should have taken it back since you brought it back that night. But, that's typical Fry's for you - find some way to Contact the BBB and the credit card company and advise them of the situation. Also, contact Fry's corporate and advise them.

Fry's handles their stock like the gorilla in the American Tourister commercial.

thats physical damage. You bought something and you broke it its your fault.

If you got the PSC you might be OK... to return the PSC.

I agree. I didn't even open my TV when I left fry's. I opened it when I got home and I had 2 people help me (mind you, this is a 32" TV, nothing huge) so there was no way for it to "fly out and hit a chair." I dunno. To me, $400 is a lot of money... That I don't want to risk.

Why does Fry's and their employees always assume that the customer broke it? It could have been damaged in transit to Fry's, or damaged by Fry's when off-loading or moving it. Fry's stock handling capabilities leaves much to be desired.

and it wouldn't surprise me if customer did this and tried to claim it was like that when they got it..Hiya kids. Here is an important message from your Uncle Bill. Don't buy drugs. Become a pop star, and they give you them for free!

Not sure who's telling the truth or not, but If you broke the TV yourself, you shouldn't be surprised you can't easily return it. And OBiWan's advised is usually worthless. I've never seen someone hate a company as much as he does, yet spend so much time of here. Loooooooser.
