I've heard a lot of rumors about either store 10 (anaheim) or store 7 (fountain vally) closing, anyone know if this is true?

Anaheim was the Flagship store where Management for other stores went to train. They also have the Restaurant inside and recently went through a remodel.

Maybe they should hang in there since Best Buy is closing 50 stores

50 Best Buy stores are closing/closed, however the 2 right next to Anaheim Fry's are still there. Moral is currently very low at the Anaheim Fry's though.

Sucks to hear that morale at the Anaheim store is low. It's definitely one of the nicer looking Fry's I've shopped at.

main reason why morale is low is because the new assistant store manager is a dick about dress code

Buy the correct size shirt, or take your mother with you shopping. And if you don't like him call his boss and complain and also call home office. If you don't want fo do these things then stop wasting your time and just quit.

Nothing in the handbook against wearing white socks.I shit trains, Now what?

Also nothing in the handbook about top button... the tie covers it anyways. The dickbag will ask you to remove your tie just so he can check. Nothing about rolled up sleeves. The joy of lifting items and cleaning with long sleeves.

There a lot of things that are not stated as being allowed/not allowed in the dresscode. However, the management at your individual stores are allowed to make exceptions or add things that they don't want to see in their stores. Webster allows white socks, but does not allow rolled up sleeves or the top button to be unbuttoned.

The one thing I used to love about service is that I could wear a tank top, but just button the blue lab coats all the way to the top button and no one ever really noticed, except for the fact that my collar wouldn't be visible. I used to do that pretty often though and no one ever said boo. I mean honestly, those coats are hot enough, do we really need to be wearing tuxedos that no one will ever see under them?

The Anaheim store seems like it's always empty, but if they were to close one down, they'd probably close Store 7. They had some good looking people working there over the years, Marisa, Lan... those were the days.

When they hired that guy to do those Fry's Radio commercials, you knew it was over. That "your best buys are ALLLLLLWAYS (cue laser sound) at FRYS dot come....slash ads" tagline has been incredibly annoying.

Think he also used to do the D.O.W. DOW Electronics commercials in San Diego. They went kaput after a while and so did those commercials, thankfully.

It won't be the same without Fry's, it's been a good run.

I think the Fry's brothers run a system where some stores do well and make up for the losses of the other stores; out of pride, I get the feeling the wont shut down the store. If I were to speculate at best, they could relocate a store.

I'm stunned to see people complaining about dress code, it's even more strict at the location I work at and it doesn't seem like anybody has a big problem out of it. Want to have some air breeze on your arms but can't roll up the sleeves? Easy solution: Short sleeves. As far as buttoning the very top button on your shirt, I think everybody who can't at least do that when wearing a tie (including myself) looks like a retard. Easy solution: Buy the correct shirt size.

C'mon people, this is like complaining about shoes being too tight so you should be able to wear sandals? *buzzer* eh, wrong. I'd say the only department that could complain about dress code is probably Service just because of those frustrating blue coats. I know they (slightly) help protect from ESD damage on the fragile components, but they are seriously annoying, warm, and they get caught to shit... and other people wear them and for some reason a lot of technicians don't know a whole lot about this thing called hygiene so if you are coming in and a stinky tech wore the coat before you, then you will know it.
