First, as noted above, you're only "convicted" if you've gone to trial, or you've pled guilty. It sounds like Fried is accusing her of theft. Have they filed a formal report with the police? If not, are they just trying to get her to confess and have her sign something? You need to provide more information.

Sorry to hijack this thread, but I have a hearing with a court for my unemployment with Fry's. Do I have a chance to get my unemployment from them? What I should I do?

    Be prepared....

First, did Fry's make you sign their VQ form? If so, you'll have to argue that they made you sign it under duress. If not, you'll have to explain why you believe you were fired without cause and deserve unemployment.

The problem is that I don't have enough evidence to overturn the original decision (I told the truth that I originally quit in fear of being fired due to being the draw for so long, just so I can save face). Thus I was denied UI originally.

    Nope. Your not getting it.

Yeah you can't quit for being scared of being fired, and then get unemployment...

I called up the Unemployment Appeals board and notified them that I was withdrawing the appeal.

A friend of mines walk into a lowes in Va pick up some domestic items and shopped around alittle she then decided she didn't want the items so see put the items back in a aisle that was being recorded and secured with cameras. When walking out the door the alarm system went off but people was walking in as she was walking out at the same time, still walking out the first set of doors some man ran up to her and tells her to come here she says no, the man asks her again and she replied the same again NO. The man then trys to grab her and she ran. The man chases after her and writes her tag numbers down. 2 weeks later she gets pulled over by the police for a warrant of her arrest from lowes. When going to to court the same man that asked her to come back into the store was there and another man which I'm guessing is LPO. The man made up a whole store about my friend and its not the true story I know because I was there with her at the time. She already haves a paid attorney. My question to u would be what can my friend do now to get her self out of this situation of two LpO lying on her? Or can u just give me some advice plz

My friend went into lowes to get some domestic items she then decides that she didn't want to go shopping in lowes but to go to homedepot so she puts the items back in a aslie that was secured by cameras and a recorder. When walking out the door people where coming in at the same time time of her walking out. Someman ran from the back of the store to the front and asks her to come here she told him no and continued to walk the man then grabs her and she replied get ur hands off of me he backed up and let her walk . When she gotten into her car he ran behind her and wrote down her tag numbers. 2 weeks later she gets pulled over and locked up because she had a warrant for her arrest from lowes. When she went to court the lPO made up a whole tale of what happened in the store and then there was another man with him I guess he was a LPO also.

Your friend should have cooperated. If the alarm sounded as she walked out, then its reasonable to believe that she may have had something from the store on her person. Running just makes her look even more guilty. She'll need a good lawyer, and a copy of the video showing what she did. If she had cooperated in the first place, she probably wouldn't be in this situation.
