I think you're right. Independent contractors pretty much get "paid under the table". They also have weird or special working arrangements which would be illegal if they were an employee. -

Yes the janitor we had at night time, was an illegal immigrant, but hey hes there to earn a living just like us! I understand the buisness practices are immoral, but better than him standing at a street corner with a sign "will work for food"! -

My friend, usually night cleaners are responsible for things like restrooms, break rooms, sinks, etc. They dont hire a cleaning crew to dust off store inventory.Superhero! -
