Thats one nice deal. Its a good deal because Ubuntu in reality will only take about a gig and a 1/2, and it also wouldn't surprise me if the OS itself came bundled with a slew of freeware programs. Not to mention all the free programs that are easily downloadable form Ubuntu's website. If this goes fully mainstream it could be the end of vista

But there are cheap external HDs for that, or you can upgrade your internal while its on SALE at Fry's ;D

SSD is more robust. I have a 32gb flash drive. External drives are clunky and prone to failure. I wouldn't mind Ubuntu. I don't plan to do anything crazy except visit a few forums and read Digg. There is always WINE to run winapps,i am a worm.

yep not that hard besides fries gets a different drive back so its fair the volume of material is the same anyway maybe even more so you could say you are actually giving to fries instead of taking from them.Looking for my head ............... yeah the eight valve one yeah ....
