MaxConsole can exclusively reveal that the brand new PSP 3000 model is now perfectly hackable thanks to Datel's newest tool battery that will put the PSP 3000 into service mode. Once you're in service mode, you can downgrade your PSP and pretty much do what you want with it! The new crypto processor based battery is called the LITE BLUE TOOL battery and will enable the service mode on both PSP 2000 and PSP 3000 models. It will come with the option to toggle between a service mode and normal mode, and also features a built in LED power gauge.

We've also been given exclusive information on how exactly Datel came to their working PSP 3000 solution:

Datel's Raw Science engineering division have been hard at work to unllock the protected service mode since the PSP 3000 come out in Japan last month.

“Although there were early indications that the PSP3000 had embedded Service Mode capability, it was clear that silicon level investigation would be required to understand the new mechanism” said Datel.

“Once the target IC had been identified, our engineers then de-capsulated the device and prepared it for hi-resolution SEM imaging” he added, explaining the high-tech methods employed in this project.

The engineers then used circuit extraction to reveal the additional service mode only encryption functions which were not present on earlier generation PSPs. In order to be compatible with these encryption functions, Datel created an advanced IC controller which will be put straight into use in their newest service mode battery technology.

After Sony threatned legal action to Datel for trying to release the new "PSP Lite Blue Tool" Datel changed the name of their product to "PSP MAX Power Digital - Universal Mode Battery" and now it DOES NOT support putting your PSP 3000/Brite into Service Mode. What a disappointment. I encourage everyone to email Datel and let them know how disapointed you are and mad: support@dateldesign.com and Customer.Service@Codejunkies.com

Am planning to buy psp3000. However in http://buy-now.net they claim it cannot be hacked. Need help on this. Can it really be hacked and what is the best way?
  5.  permalink
it cannot be hacked, at least not the `psp 3000. For now all of you 3000 oweners will have to wait until Dark Alex works his magic and realeases the info needed to hack your new psp. Datels battery does what it says it puts your 3000 in service mode and that is all it does, It doesnt hack the 3000 firmware so beware.

Just wanted to follow up on everyone who is interesting in hacking their PSP Slim 2000 or PSP 3000 Slim Brite.

Because Datel has some legal problems with Sony they won't be releasing the originall Lite Blue Tool for a while if at all but instead will be coming out with this new tool:

"PSP MAX Power Digital - Universal Mode Battery"

The difference is this one only lets you put the PSP 2000 into service mode to allow you to hack your PSP 2000 and allows you to use it as a regular battery in the PSP 3000. For those of you who doubt Datel already has a working model of the PSP Blue Tool which hacks the PSP 3000 keep doubting, once Datel and Sony lawsuit gets settled will see what happens. I would recommend everyone complain to Sony about them being buthurt about the Lite Blue Tool because there is alerady so many hack tools and batterys tools out why do they care now.

If anyone wants to buy the new "PSP MAX Power Digital - Universal Mode Battery" I am one of the first to officially have it in stock. Send me a email at armaxseller@gmail.com or visit my storefront at:
