I went to the Sunnyvale, CA Fry's to purchase something (I forget what) and I used my credit card to pay. Either I forgot to take it back from the cashier (or she forgot to hand it back) or I lost it on the way to the parking lot I dunno, but by the time I reached back home (~20 mins) Fry's employees had found the card and phoned the card company who in turn had disabled it and called my home. The minute I got back my mother (who recieved the call) asked me to check my credit card and lo and behold it was gone.

Needless to say I went back and picked it up right away and got an earful about responsiblity and money and the usual yadda yadda from my mother, but I was thorougly amazed at how quickly and professionally the Fry's people handled the situation.

Amazing, truly amazing. I hope I'm always as fortunate as this.

Heh, last month an employee found a Fry's Card, then had another employee ring him up for $400 worth of stuff including an iPod. They were both arrested in short time.

If you're stuck with credit it's for a reason. Pay with real money and return with receipt in the proper time window? Get real money back.
