    Anyone ever hear of an employee who gets terminated for questioning a sups orders? And the person being terminated has been at Frys for a year and has never had any writeups and the general manager decides to give her a 5 day suspension(terminated of course). If there's a way to prove a set up with Frys looking to fire someone for something so minor like that with no prior history, can something be done?

    The sup that complained to the manager alleged the coworker cussed at her and another sup who was there said the coworker didn't say anything of that nature. So why would the general manager fire her for something when another sup defended her?

    For those who list Frys as their first job...... yes, you can be fired for questioning your superior's orders (it often turns out to be more than "questioning"). It's called insubordination....a term ya best learn quick if you plan on working in the real world.

    The sup was from software and someone broke a glass bottle with liquid in her department. Frontcheckout had a very long line and when she got to the spill, there were 3 software associates just looking at it. All she asked was why couldn't they do it since they were doing nothing while she has a long line to help? Customers come first. Frys is just retarded. There are a lot of insubordinates in front checkout, not going to mention names but are black so I guess Frys is worried about them playing the race card but still its bs for a first time thung with a sup taking your side

    Considering the fact that we have evidence of other associates who are directly insubordinate on an almost daily basis with multiple write ups and sent to the managers office, we are going to pursue something. Will do a separate post if we get a case. Majorly considering it.

    Why? They don't need a reason to let you go. There is no case for wrongful termination. Most state laws, as well as the employee handbook, generally outright say that you may leave the company at any time and they may dismiss you at any time, no reason given. Neither one of you signed a contract for employment for X amount of time. Insubordination is also grounds for immediate termination, depending on the degree. Just because they let you go without someone else doesn't mean jack. The only way nowadays that wrongful termination is when you get fired for some sort of retaliation for a complaint, such as you complain of sexual harrassment and the company lets you go.  
     
    My advice is to suck it up, they didn't like you for whatever reason. File for unemployment and get looking for another job.

    Oh my god! This is so funny. The associate that got fired was Gloria vernon. Aka, lazer eyes.
    Don't mislead these people that have legit complaints. You got fires because you were slow, lazy, rude, always complained about duties. Guess what, you thought norma was your buddy but she hated you. They called another sup into the office to ask about you. Basically Joe Claire asked if you should come back from your 5 day and the sup said no. And for those very same reasons. You're slow, lazy, rude, have an "i don't care attitude."
    Now u work at that shitty check cash place with stephanie. This was soooooo funny.
    This wasnt wrongful termination.
    Btw, you DID have variances and write ups. I SAW them.
