Why pay Fry's back if they're going to press the charges anyway? He needs that money for legal defense.

Is it pretty common for employees to steal from Fry's? About ten years or so ago, one of the Sales people (not sure if he was a sup or not) was caught stealing iPods from the computer department. He knew the areas of the store where security cameras couldn't see and exploited them for quite a while before getting caught.
