So don't know how it's like in other stores but here is what it's like right now at mine:

-The LP department has been nuked. CAs are gone. One lpo and the LP 'specialist' remain. Lots of run outs and card fraud.
-Service will be the second department to die.
-Multiple employees have been verbally aggressive with management due to hours and scheduling, one going so far as to interrupting a manager's meeting.
-Schedules are put out the the day before the week begins as opposed to two weeks before. Schedules done by store manager.
-Some high value merch which should be in the cage or lockup is now on the floor.
-No more / noticeably less brand name products being shipped to store, such as Razer, Apple, Kindle, and certain drones and certain TVs.
-Empty shelves everywhere and not enough merch coming in. Shelves are disassembled to make the store seem less out-of-stock. All departments except components are getting rid of shelves, and they are emptying backstock to make the floor look better.
-Full time is now part time - 25 - 34 hours or less for top sellers, 8 hours and on call for those who cant sell.
-Store manager is using the smallest excuses to cut employees and make hours.
-Store manager is making everyone use up their vacation.
-Half of the department specialists have interviews lined up.
-One of the four FCO supes walked out the other day, and the other supe closes by himself. There are days where there is literally no cashiers scheduled to close.
-Receiving now shares duties with merchandisers. Merchandisers are now basically cashiers.
-One closer for each department. If the closer is a no-show, other department closer has to cover.
-Cafe is 11 - 4 with one person working there.
-Opening hours set an hour later.

I give Fry's until after Black Friday, but I doubt they will hold out as long as Toys R Us.

New information I learned today. Specialist positions are getting removed by the end of the month and some part time employees will be moved down to 0 hours a week in hopes that they simply quit. The end is near.

Department 1 and 2 , 3 and 5 are combining. There will only be 2 specialists per department so 2 to 4 specialist will now be bumped to part time sales positions. John fry and store maintenance director is travling to store probably to access profotiablity when they sell the buildings is my guess. Stores that are leased will be first to be shut down is my guess. Incredible universe store were bought pennies on the dollars so they would be the last to close.

I heard management say they were going to close our location store next week. Maybe he was joking or exaggerating. But everyone’s gone. It’s a wasteland.

Call all your Co workers and tell them to file unemployment insurance claims. That will help put the final nail in the coffin.

And tell John Fry I said "hi."

our location is down to three managers. AV, ASM, & SM. And I don’t even know if our SM is here to stay. He’s been on vacation for weeks. Ours appliance/software managers last day is Saturday and when he leaves AW will only have one associate.

Just went to my local store and the SM was doing returns with a red shirt on. The good news is that I didn't have to wait 15 minutes in line to start the return. The bad news is that I still had to wait 15 minutes to issue store credit and finalize redeeming it at the register.
