A theft ring in Washington state sold millions of dollars’ worth of stolen goods on in the past six years, and a pair of contract Amazon delivery drivers was involved,
Detectives staked out the pawn shops, Innovation Best in Kent and Thrift-Electro in Renton, and observed that they appeared to be paying shoplifters and drug users cash for new items from Home Depot, Lowes and Fred Meyer department stores.

Not sure how this is related to this forum, but yes, there are a lot of sketchy resellers on Amazon these days. Long gone are the days where everything or almost everything was sold by Amazon themselves. I have known some people who bought items that were counterfeit on Amazon so people fencing stolen goods doesn't shock me. Amazon doesn't seem to care where their resellers got their inventory.

Amazon is a competitor to Fry's Electronic. Even though the story does not mention Fry's, it is very likely, shoplifters went to Fry's Renton store. The stolen merchandise is sold to Renton Pawn Shop. Stolen merchandise makes it way to Amazon.
Along with selling counterfeit merchandise, Amazon is a superior business model.
