I personally think its so stupid that Fry's employees have to count and do inventory also when we hire a company thousands of dollars to do the inventory. Plus all those inventory people seem dumb! Why not hire a good inventory company that has good people and does all the work instead of doing double the work by having inventory company plus half the store to help them.

Our store dumps that responsibility to the full-time accessory sales people and guess what? They dump it on the part timers. You wouldn't believe the backstabbing that goes on from there :).:face-devil-grin:

RGIS for most of retail. I know OD uses them, and a third party inventory company is required by law. OD does a pre-count for closed boxes, then RGIS does the full count, and then OD does a 75 variance count, meaning if the inventory is over or under $75 in value we have to count it manually. There is no double counting, only policies to make the whole crappy experience as quick and painless as possible.

I don't know if fry's is the same, but I would put money on yes.

RGIS is full of fucking old stinky idiots.
they are completly worthless, and i wish i could take there scanner and do it all myself, but for me i like returns, cuz i worked returns so getting 13.50 to watch people scan things, is A OK with me :D
